Numerology
Numerology is a belief in a mystical relationship between numbers and coinciding events. Besides it is also the study of the numerical value of the letters in words, names and ideas.
Numbers have had a meaning since Pythagoras. Today, however, numerology is regarded as a pseudoscience.
St. Augustine of Hippo (A.D. 354-430) wrote: "Numbers are the universal language offered by the deity to man as confirmation of the truth."
For ancient oriental religions like the Babylonian, numbers have a mystical meaning.
Numer symbolism plays a central role also in China. Of particular importance are, for example, the 3 as the basis for numerous triads, the five, the eight, and finally the 12 as the determinant of both the calendar and the zodiac.
The TCM system is based on numerical associations (eg. 365 parts of the body - one for each day of the year - as the basis for the localization of the acupuncture points)
== Bible and Kabbala ==
He created his world through the three counter-principles : Number, counter and counted things...
Ten numbers without anything and 22 big letters, three mothers, seven double and tree single... (Sepher Jezirah).
The original bible was written down in hebrew language with 22 letters without vocals. The kabbalist tradition says that the bible can be interpreted from 72 standpoints. The interpretation within the 22 tarotcartds und the universal path has been shown on this website.
The "Sepher Jezirah" speaks about 22 letters and 10 numbers in the origin of creation. Therefore the bible could offer much deeper insights for those who have a key.
The cabbalah says that the 10 Sephiroth are connected with the 10 numbers, and the 22 letters have connections to the 10 numbers too.
Brown Landone spoke in his Telois-System about three main numbers(like the three mothers of the Sepher Jetzirah) which determine the sense in all created things.
In the numers are after such theories the laws of physics hidden. Also the recent solution of the 1859 formulated equation of the german mathematician Georg Friedrich Bernhard Riemann by Louis de Branges tries to show the sequence of prime numbers with references to nuclear physics.
Similarly, the Abjad numerals are a decimal number system in which the 28 letters of the Arabic alphabet are assigned numerical values.
== Cheiro=
An example of mumerology (regarding to Cheiro!) is the hebrew bible.
An example : Verse 19, Psalm 119
Psalm 119 consists of 176 verses : The psalm itself has 22 chapters. Each chapter has 8 Verses.
Each vers has 16 syllables alternating short and long.
Each of the 8 verses of the first section begins with the first letter of the alphabet: ALEPH
Each of the 8 verses of the 2nd Section begins with the 2nd Letters of the alphabet, etc. 1st Verse Verse contains the words: The law of the lord 2nd Verse "His commandments 3rd Verse "His way 4th verse "His rules Verses 5th "His statutes Verse 6th "His commands Verse 7th "His right judgments Verse 8th "His statutes etc. in each of the 22 chapters.
The number 12 appears in the root-words - Laws, regulations, trust, Safety, statutes, name, word, rule, pathways, judgments, certificates, Commands (: Cheiro, Book of numbers). At least one of these words can be found in each of the 176 verses.
The word "commandment"(command) is either in plural or singular applied exactly 22 times, while "evidence" is twice in the plural and once in Singular at the end of the first half of the Psalms, namely at the end of the 88th Verse.
However, upon closer inspection, the whole thing is a bit far-fetched.
